Who an I?
My name is Alvin Spenker. I have been and still am a licensed
medical technologist. (we are now known as clinical laboratory
scientists). The job hasn't changed but the title has. I am a long
time resident of San Jose.
Yes, I am a grandfather.
I am the father of six and the grandfather of ten I am a private investor.
For years I have invested in the stock market, primarily through
my 401K at work and through my private IRA's. Lately, I have added
real estate to my mix. I bought my first property in Milpitas
California many years ago. At that time, I paid $17,650 for a three
bedroom 1 1/2 bath condo. Needless to say, I should have kept it. I
am now investing in property as a way to diversify my holdings.
What will I invest in?
I am primarily interested in single family homes in the San Jose
California area. I will buy pretty homes, or fixer-uppers. Normally
I will complete repairs, cosmetic or otherwise, and remarket the
property within six months to a year. I structure my deals so that I
can expect a reasonable profit.
If you want top dollar for your property and are willing to put
up with the hassle and uncertainty of traditional marketing, then I
am probably not your answer. If however, the certainty of a
guaranteed sale, and the flexibility I offer are important to you,
then we should be able to work together.
